The first experiment was conducted for 8 weeks using the head count of 62 cubbies. It is a double-blind, placebo-controlled randomized one to check the potential weight loss. In this test Caralluma extract was used in the form of gelatin capsules and taken daily by the people who undergo testing. The test was conducted for both men and women who are in normal health and not taking any medication and no food limitations implemented for them. Subjects were requested to continue the food items, workout and daily routine as before the test starts. The final results had shown that 80% of the subjects lost the weight approximately 6 pounds. Remaining people fall in the range of 1-2 or 8-9 pound weight loss. Exceptions are two subjects gain weight 1, 17 pounds respectively. Around 6 people complained the side effects like acidity and blow up in the early stage of the testing and found vanished after few days.
